Sepp Blatter is a very wise foolish old man.... :-|

Sepp Blatter!!! Sepp Blatter!!! Sepp Blatter!!!!!

How many times did I call you, Sir??

Its quite advisable for some important peeps to hire a highly qualified PR that can turn the worst of news and most insolent of statements into the sweetest of speeches... Wisdom can be earned with age and experience but the gift of utterance still remains a gift enjoyed by only an elite few...

Blatter isn't one of them, his actions have recently been interpreted to picture him as a villain, a football Czar who has decided to halt the advancement of soccer, to the betterment of him and his crew. The Mr. Burns of soccer who just giggles at the mere bickerings of the press, as he alone is the puppet-master of this emotionally ridden football universe. Then when the old man speaks, its sounds more like the rants of a provoked drunkard

Well Blatter it seems has once again damned the press by neglecting their favorites 'England' for a villain-ish Russia and a clueless Qatar.. And now then the debates, England with its over-stretched transport system, over-priced infrastructures, excessively  expensive shops and populated city centers is the no1 choice over an investor and holiday makers dream in Qatar.. or a rising football power in Russia...

Well you may tend to disagree with me on this, or might point out your fears about these countries, but when South Africa was announced the words 'rape and murder' were just 1 of the list of things that scared many about the now successful tournament.

But I ask why does FIFA always tend towards bizzare zones in search for hosts for the most important competition in the world of football?
England, Spain, Portugal, Korea, Japan these countries all have the facilities readily available for use.. These countries will need to build stadiums, restructure infrastructure, ensure security.. things that seem almost an impossibility in Russia.. And Qatar doesn't even have the population to ensure full games, even if their income per head seems more than sufficient

Yes, I agree. But in all these things I see opportunities; Infrastructural development to bolster these economies, create jobs and yes the grand opportunity to preach football and its values to new grounds.

Like any wise CEO of a leader in any industry, the rule to sustaining growth is by not relying on saturated markets but instead stretching for new emerging markets, new grounds. Russia and Qatar are emerging markets in football, either from the involvement of players, fans or economic players..

These countries give us an opportunity to preach the joy, development, unity and carnival feeling football brings to a people. Russia needs this more, England has the premiership abeg...

If you ask me, I prefer Qatar to England.. visa isn't that much of a wahala and travelling there is stress free.. they have all the facilities from a wide range of hospitality agencies, hotels and the sorts to make anyone's stay memorable for good....Qatar is every business traveller's haven.

The problem is that instead of our dear friend Blatter to say this. he mentioned the words Christian, arrogance and western world in the same sentence.. The explanation is too long... please make una read am here

A word like lets preach football to the eastern world would have made sense or what do you think???
